In the framework of the "Hotel and Restaurant Business"  subject, students PE-61 group (specialty "Entrepreneurship, Stock Exchanges and Logistics" and lecturer Chygryn O.Yu. took part in the Forum "Hotel and Restaurant Business in Sumy Region." Students had the opportunity to communicate with owners, managers and specialists of hotel and restaurant business from different regions of Ukraine - Kiev, Lviv, Odessa, Zaporozhye.

Open on-line materials of Jean Monnet Module on EU trade

During the first two years of Jean Monnet Module "EU trade opportunities and challenges for Ukraine" (573581-EPP-1-2016-1-UAEPPJMO-MODULE), which is run at economics, entrepreneurship and business administration department of Sumy State University, it was delivered a series of lectures, seminars and workshops dedicated to the positive and negative sides of free trade with EU.

Internship of our Scientist at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic in the framework of the project "Progressive University Management"

From November 11 to November 17, Associate Professor of our Department Chortok Yuliia Volodymyrivna studied the features of inclusive education at the University of T.G. Masaryk in the Czech Republic (Brno) as a member in Ukrainian universities’ delegation. The largest proportion of Czech students with special needs studies in Masaryk University (about 26%).

Participation at the international seminar "European Studies outside the EU"

On November 13, 2018 Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Oleksandr Kubatko and Ph.D., Assoc. Professor Elena Chigrin participated in the International Workshop "European Studies outside the EU: Teaching and Research" organized by the Ukrainian Association of Teachers and Researchers of European Integration and held at Sumy State University. This seminar was organized within the framework of the European Commission's project “Enhanced Visibility of European Integration in Teaching and Research”.

A visit to a modern agrarian company

Head of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration Prof. Leonid Melnyk and Associate Professors Kubatko A.V., Chygryn O.Yu., and Dehtyarova I.B. visited a modern agrarian company LLC "Vitchyzna" (Ternivka Village, Konotop District). The purpose of the trip was to get acquainted with modern, environmentally friendly technologies and approaches to agro-industrial production.

Lectures by Prof. Leonid Melnyk for students of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management in Kiev

Prof. Leonid Melnyk, Doctor of Economics, Head the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, Director of the Institute for Development Economics of the Ministry of Education and Science and the NAS of Ukraine was invited by  the Faculty of Economics of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management to deliver the lectures "Development of economic cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the light of the Third Industrial Revolution" for Master students who major in Economics. Lectures were delivered as part of the Jean Monnet module “EU trade opportunities and challenges for Ukraine” (573581-EPP-1-2016-1-UAEPPJMO-MODULE).

Information factors in the agrarian economy: lecture by Prof. Leonid Melnyk in Kiev

Within the framework of a business trip to Kiev, November 2, Prof. Leonid Melnyk, Doctor of Economics, Head the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, Director of the Institute for Development Economics of the Ministry of Education and Science and the NAS of Ukraine accepted the invitation of the Institute of Agrarian Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to present his lecture "Information factors in the agrarian economy" for the Institute staff.

Internship of FEM Scientist at Riga Technical University

Every year more and more FEM’s scientists receive the grants for international trainings and scientific internships. So, on October 15, 2018 the Associate Professor of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration Department, Deputy Director for international activities, Tetyana Pimonenko began the Internship (at Doctoral level) within the framework of the Latvian State Scholarships Program. Her scientific internship is devoted to green economy issues and sustainable development. The supervisor of the scientific internship from the Latvian side is Tatjana Tambovceva (Riga Technical University).
